В статье анализируется диспут о статусе и универсальности прав человека, соотношении прав индивида и сообщества между представителями индивидуалистических и коммунитаристских направлений современной политико-философской мысли. Рассматриваются теоретические позиции и аргументы различных версий либерального индивидуализма и коммунитаризма, точки зрения западных и азиатских мыслителей. Демонстрируется процесс определенной конвергенции данных теоретических позиций, делается вывод о возможности их синтеза.

The article reviews the contemporary debate about the status and universality of human rights, the relationship between individual rights and community between individualistic and communitarian camps in political philosophy. Theoretical positions and arguments of different versions of liberal individualism and communitarianism, views of Western and Asian thinkers are analyzed. Some convergence of these views and the possibility of their synthesis is demonstrated.
