Digital art and the contemporary art market: a look at the role of NFT technologies in the artist’s work

Abstract

The article is a discourse on the role of digital art (cryptoart) in the modern art world. The author describes the concept of decentralization, which is typical for the blockchain space and the metaverse. The main problems of this concept, as well as how applicable it is in traditional museum exhibition practices. The article describes the main problem areas of crypto-art and offers options for positioning this direction. Questions of the identity of crypto-art and its dependence on the market are discussed. A number of questions are also raised about the risks and threats that artificial intelligence poses in everyday life
