Abstract

This article examines the role of photography as a tool for capturing and revealing the compositional concept of an abstract model in the training of architecture students, architectural designers, and urban planners in the discipline "Volumetric and Spatial Composition." An analysis of student photographs from the perspective of the perceiving viewer highlights the compositional characteristics and substantive aspects of the frame. The need for a holistic presentation of the layout's concept through two types of work is substantiated: one with a documentary, one with an experimental, research function.
