ARCHITECTURAL AND URBAN PLANNING COMPONENT OF THE RESETTLEMENT PROGRAM IN SIBERIA IN THE LATE 19th – EARLY 20th CENTURY

Abstract
The article deals with the architectural and urban planning experience of organizing the resettlement of broad peasant masses from European Russia beyond the Urals at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century. The high role in this process of the builders of the Great Siberian Railway is noted, the well-thought-out system of placing Settlement Points at the nodal points of the railway, the planning decision of the largest of them - the Chelyabinsk Settlement Point, which played the role of a kind of gateway to Siberia and Central Asia, is considered. The architectural solution of various buildings at the Resettlement Points is considered, the experience of using collapsible buildings - yurts of the indigenous inhabitants of the Аsian part of Russia, a movable car-church and their functioning on the Trassiberian Railway is especially noted.
