Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the influence of evening lighting on the emotional and physical state of a person at the end of the working day. Special attention is paid to the study of people's reactions to various lighting parameters: intensity, frequency of color change, color gamut and general style of light delivery. Exploring the relationship between the characteristics of the lighting solution and people's feelings, optimal approaches to managing the perception of the evening urban landscape are identified in order to minimize fatigue and increase satisfaction with the quality of the urban environment. As a result of the conducted research, the definition of light pollution and its consequences in megacities are considered. Practical recommendations on the use of modern digital technologies for the implementation of lighting modes within a specific area and the intended purpose of the facility are given. This work will be of interest to architects, designers and landscape design specialists seeking to create comfortable conditions for living and staying in cities.

Abstract

This article examines the changing role and functions of club institutions. The author analyzes the transition from traditional club forms to more flexible and multifunctional centers focused on cultural and leisure activities, the preservation of folk crafts and traditions, and the creation of new forms of creativity to support creative industries. This transformation highlights new functions of clubs, such as the development of innovative cultural practices, support for local initiatives, the promotion of social interaction and the integration of diverse communities, and educational and outreach programs that foster cultural competence. The relevance of classification based on administrative-territorial status is addressed, and a new classification of club institutions based on their functions is proposed.

Abstract

Artificial intelligence technologies in architectural design are shaping a new professional and educational reality that requires a re-evaluation of the architect’s role and the structure of architectural thinking. Unlike previous stages of digitalization associated with CAD and BIM technologies, modern generative systems affect not only the implementation of design solutions but also the very foundations of form-making, including compositional search and decision-making processes. The aim of the study is to identify the transformation of the architect’s creative method under the influence of AI, as well as to analyze the cognitive and methodological risks of its use in the educational process. The study employs a comparative analysis of digital tools, including BIM systems, NURBS modeling, and generative AI technologies, alongside a method of theoretical generalization of modern architectural education practices. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of text-to-3D technologies and parametric systems that interpret language as a design tool. As a result, it has been established that AI transforms the role of the digital tool toward "co-authorship" by delegating a portion of generative functions to the machine, while facilitating a shift from visual-spatial thinking to text-oriented interaction with the project. The research identifies risks of cognitive skill atrophy with early AI adoption and highlights the "fundamental gap" in student training caused by a deficit in spatial thinking skills. It is demonstrated that generative models tend to average architectural solutions, leading to a decline in authorial uniqueness. The conclusions justify the necessity of implementing a "conscious design" methodology. This approach suggests the phased integration of AI, the prioritized development of core professional skills, and the integration of manual and digital methods. Furthermore, it emphasizes the ability to work critically with generative tools and use text as a conscious mediator between the idea and the architectural form.

Abstract

The article examines contemporary challenges in the formation of public spaces in Siberian cities. The study considers factors influencing the development of public spaces, including the specifics of regulatory frameworks, mechanisms of urban environment governance, and the implementation practices of urban improvement projects. Based on the analysis of urban environment assessment tools and studies of the development of Siberian cities, the research identifies the main constraints affecting the formation of public spaces, including the fragmentation of design solutions, inconsistencies between governance approaches and actual patterns of urban space use.

Abstract

This work is dedicated to the identification and comparative analysis of the architectural and planning features of two historically and territorially connected cities in the Novosibirsk region: Kuybyshev (Kainsk) and Barabinsk (KainskTomsky). These features have been shaped by various historical factors that have influenced their unique appearance, as well as an assessment of the degree of preservation of their historical buildings. The urban development of small towns in Western Siberia and its connection to historical and cultural contexts represent an important source for understanding local strategies for urban environment formation. The relevance of the study is also determined by the necessity to preserve regional identity in the context of globalization. The reference base of the article includes archival and cartographic sources related to the cities, photographic materials, and literary sources on the history and architecture of the Novosibirsk region. The research methods employed include comparative and cartographic analysis, as well as a historical-geographical approach, which allowed for a deeper understanding of the specifics of urban development in each city. The results of the analysis demonstrate significant differences in the architecture and planning structure of Kuybyshev and Barabinsk, despite the largely common conditions for the formation of their urban environments.

Abstract

The relevance of the article lies in the fact that, in northern conditions, park spaces are constantly exposed to low temperatures, strong winds, drifting snow, and a lack of daylight, which makes conventional landscaping approaches insufficient. Against this background, small architectural forms and pavilions begin to perform not only a utilitarian but also an environment-forming function. The purpose of the article is to determine their role as elements of climatic and social adaptation in northern park spaces. The materials used include Russian and international publications on the architectural environment of the North, the adaptation of architectural systems to extreme conditions, the organization of public spaces in cold climates, and wind protection measures. The study employs comparative, typological, and environmental methods, which made it possible to examine the form of these objects, their degree of openness, the presence of buffer spaces, wind protection, lighting, and their relationship to routes and patterns of human use within the park. The results show that small architectural forms and pavilions provide local protection from wind and precipitation, create intermediate zones between open space and places of short-term stay, and support scenarios of waiting, rest, and meeting. The most effective solutions are compact and streamlined forms, semi-enclosed structures, local wind-protective elements, well-designed lighting, and the integration of such objects into a system of routes and attraction points. The conclusions of the article show that small architectural forms and pavilions act as one of the key tools for shaping a resilient park environment in the North, since they simultaneously contribute to climatic protection, spatial legibility, and the maintenance of public activity during the cold season.

Abstract

Glocalization of design objects is associated, among other things, with the use of traditional decorative and applied art. As a unique traditional craft, Chinese lacquer art has more than 8000 years of history. Its development reflects not only inheritance, but also innovation, as well as social and cultural changes. Its ancient origins, prosperity, and peak in the Ming and Qing dynasties have created a huge foundation of cultural heritage, and its decline is just one of the stages of development as lacquer art is reborn in the modern digital age. Lacquer art products serve as examples of modern craft and design, creating a new material context not only in China.
